__TOC__

Introduction
<br>
The main purpose of this guide is to improve the roleplay quality and mentality of players of the Argonath RPG RageMP server. This guide can serve as your reference to improve your roleplay character and style in the Argonath RPG. NOTE: This guide has some edited terms and definitions to adapt to the Argonath RPG vision. <br>
<br>
What's Roleplay?
<br>
In the simplest possible definition, roleplay is about picking a unique role for yourself to perform. A character that you like, and know how to act out the story. In Argonath RPG, picking up multiple roles - we can call it characters now - is possible and the opportunities are endless. You can roleplay as all possible, and logical characters you wish. You can even roleplay other imaginal characters or even fictional science roleplay - like the ones you see in movies! However, there are some limitations that ensure the roleplay is fun and accepted by all parties involved. We will go through some of the important and common limits in this guide, but not all of them!<br>
<br>
Acceptable Mentality
<br>

The mentality of the players is something that should be taken care of by veterans and the administration of the server. We can not control other people's minds but we can try to influence them to do the best and the right choices. Here in Argonath RPG, we seek for a special mentality, something that we wish all of our players have and understand very well. We will try to sum those up in few points as the following:

* This is a roleplay server and not a money-grinding server. Always keep in mind that money is just a tool to use for ROLEPLAY. Not the otherwise. Having millions in your inventory does not mean anything unless you make a ROLEPLAY use out of them. Always prioritize roleplay to grinding money.

* This is NOT a freeroam server. You should always try your best in roleplay-ing and you should always think twice and thrice before doing an action that might be taken wrong by the other side. Remember, you are not right all the time!

* Argonath RPG is a community that allows everyone and anyone to join it and have fun with it. We don't require applications nor RP qualification tests to be a member of this community. This means you will always find people who lack roleplay, deathmatch or even doing unrealistic actions in roleplay situations. Your job as a veteran is to guide them through the journey. Even some members of this community lack roleplay qualifications, even if you think they aren't new to the server. This guide wouldn't be created if we all encounter a problem in the roleplay quality with most of the players in the community. Always remain calm and try your best to guide them!

* This is a game, it's a place where you want to have some fun and relax from the real world. Hating other people because of a character they are roleplaying or because they do hate you within the roleplay storyline does not mean that you should hate each other OOCly. Always stay friendly and accept whatever the outcome of the roleplay is.

* This game is not play2win! There is nothing called wining the situation or losing it. There is something called character development chances. Did you fail in this situation? Try something else, do it in a different method, or plan it more with your friends. But do not rage out and act immature just because you lost a situation.

* Your approach to someone who did something wrong in the roleplay situation is a major factor in making the community succeed or fail. As we said before, you may find people who don't know about roleplay, who understood roleplay wrong, or who knows a few about roleplay. Your approach to this kind of situation shouldn't be immature comments, flaming the other player, trolling, or being toxic to the situation. The best approach is to guide him friendly, give him advice on what is better to do. Pointing fingers on each other, blaming each other, or flaming each other will never help nor solve the situation. The administration team will not tolerate any toxic attitude towards any player of the server.<br>
<br>
Common Roleplay Terms
<br>

In-Character and Out-Of-Character
<br>

In-Character (IC)

In-Character means the character that you are playing with in-game. It's the character that you chose to roleplay in the server. You can have more than one character. However, each character should roleplay its feelings, concerns, personality, acquired knowledge, and traits. This character is NOT you- the guy behind the screen and keyboard. In-character chats are all chats that are used for roleplay such as /me, /em, /l, /w, and /s. Those chats should be used for In-character roleplay ONLY. Those chats are not meant to be used to tell stories about your real-life or anything about you - the person behind the screen.

Out-Of-Character (OOC)

This is you, the person playing behind the screen with the keyboard and mouse. You are here called a player. You should never use any OOC means to have an advantage for yourself in In-character means. You should never mix In-character situations with Out-of-Character. For example; if a person roleplayed hate towards you, you should NOT take it personnel to out-of-character. All players in Argonath RPG Community should stay always friendly to each other. They are free to roleplay whatever they want, but once the roleplay is over, you are a friendly player with others.

<br>
Metagaming and Powergaming
<br>

Metagaming

Metagaming has a lot of side flows to cover, in the simplest possible definition we can say is using Out of Character methods to provide In-character information to your friends. For example; calling for backup to XXX location through PM, discord, or group chats. Not only this, but few examples of the Out Of Character methods that might be used for In-Character advantage are:

* Using the nametags to identify a person who you never met nor interacted with.

* Using main chat, discord, Private Messages, or any other out-of-character chats to do something In-Character or to be influenced by something in-character.

* Predicting that someone will do something just because he did it in a different character before. For example; a police cop shots a suspect who is holding a weapon just because he thought he will kill another player the same as what he did with a different character.

* Exchanging information between two characters you play with. For example; you are a judge and a criminal at the same time. You are playing with two characters, you can NOT leak information to the crime side, just because you have access to records as Judge Character.

<br>

Powergaming

<br>

Powergaming is covering two main points. Unrealistic Roleplay and forcing roleplay on other players.

* Unrealistic roleplay is doing unrealistic and illogical actions to gain your own advantage. However, in some cases (Like Fictional Science Roleplay) can be fun and enjoyable if both sides agree to this roleplay or an admin who agreed to run this roleplay.

* Forcing roleplay on other players like giving them no chances to resist, fight back, reply, or react to your actions. Imagining something on other players that they didn't mention nor wanted. For example; a cop arrests someone for drug possession, while the person didn't roleplay having any drugs on him. Here the cop forced something upon the other player for his own advantage. Same as killing other players by doing (/me kills player B). You have given him no chance to react, how did you know that you didn't miss the shot? How did you know that he is not going to use something that dodges your fight?

*Metagaming and Powergaming are not recommended at all. Doing one of them intentionally will just decrease the quality of your roleplay and make the players unpleasant by roleplaying with you.

<br>
Fail-Roleplay
<br>

Fail-roleplay means doing actions that are considered completely unrealistic - We do not mean fictional Science related actions - that can ruin the whole roleplay experience in this situation. Few examples of fail-roleplay actions;

* Mountain-Escaping; using your super vehicles or whatever kind of vehicle you are in to escape or chase in mountains which is completely unrealistic and non-roleplay.

* Resisting a taser after being hit multiple times.

* Tasing other suspects millions of times in few seconds to disable them. (It does not even give them chance to react which can be considered as power gaming.)

* Changing the vehicle color or changing the skin after committing a crime just to avoid the police.

* Not roleplaying Fear Factor. Fear factor means having the fear for the life of your character. You shouldn't take it easy to just think of running from a group of armed people who have gunpoint on your head, just because you know the synchronization will not let them one-shot you. Always think twice and thrice before doing something, would I do this in real life?
<br>

Deathmatching and Crime-Free Zones
<br>

Deathmatching is killing another player without having two main points. A roleplay reason to kill, and an actual roleplay. Killing another character means that there is a serious, and a proper roleplay reason to kill him.

* Terrorist Attacks: Most of the time such attacks can be interpreted as deathmatching by the other side. We always recommend that such attacks that will involve huge shootouts should be organized by both sides or with an admin present. However, a terrorist attack then you should have a reason to be able to justify yourself for this attack. Just doing a terrorist attack just because you are bored and you just want to kill the cops isn't even a roleplay reason. Make sure you have a proper roleplay reason before you organize something like this. For example; attacking a place to steal some valuable items and weapons that were transported (by an actual RP) before. Attacking a PD to release a suspect who was arrested and transported there before (We recommend that those are actual suspects and not made-up names.)

* Crime-Free Zones: Police departments, City Hall, government buildings, Fort Zancudo, and everything that realistically have protection and guards in it are considered Crime-Free Zones. Those zones' crimes shouldn't be committed. However, it can happen if both sides agree and/or an admin is present.

<br>
Special roleplay scenarios
<br>

* Fictional Science Roleplay
** Fictional science movies, superheroes, and such are all imagination and not-realistic. However, it can be fun if we from time to time organize something like this? The game itself does support animals, superheroes, and aliens skins. We do enjoy such roleplay scenarios from time to time. Mostly, make sure that both sides agree and/or an admin is present who agreed to this type of roleplay.

* Religion and sexual Roleplay
** Such topics are case-sensitive. You have to ask for the consent of the other side before roleplaying something like this. However, in the Argonath RPG community, we do not recommend going far with any of those that can make sensitive arguments between players.

* Terrorism
** It's recommended to organize this kind of roleplay situation on both sides before going with. Most of the terrorism situations end up in a massive deathmatch without a proper roleplay. Feel free to ask an administrator to assist in organizing and supervising to avoid any further troubles.

<br>
Multi-accounting
<br>

Server rules allow everyone to have multiple accounts. However, this feature is not there for cheating nor money farming. You can use this feature if you wish to roleplay multiple characters. Most of the time roleplaying multiple characters with one account might be confusing and a little bit of pain and money waste - as you have to change your name, skin, and vehicle. However, there are few notes to take in with you if you are going to use multiple accounts for multiple characters:

* Metagaming is not recommended. Mixing the knowledge between the two characters to gain an advantage on another character is not really fun nor recommended.
** For example; a character who is a police department officer and another character that is a criminal. Do not use the information you gained as a police officer to leak it to the other character with the other account.
** Another example; if you were killed in a situation in your first account, do not use the second account with the second character claiming that this character is the cousin of the first one to take revenge.

<br>
Random Aiding
<br>

Random aiding is a quite confusing term that most of the players don't understand. Being a member of a family does not mean that you can easily "aid" your family member in roleplay situations that you were never originally part of. For example; a roleplay situation that you were never aware of, nor part of, nor have any connections with other than your family members are connected to it. In such situations, you do not have the right to help them in police chases or whatever kind of help.

Note; this special term is enforced already by the server rules and not a recommended term to use.

<br>

Leading By example
<br>

Lead by example! The best and valuable thing that you can do in this community is to lead others by being a good example to them. As we mentioned very early in this guide that Argonath RPG is a community that allows everyone to join without a roleplay qualification test nor any application, which means you will find a lot of players who lack guidance and lack quality in the roleplay. You should always be friendly to them and help them to improve themselves. Here are a few examples of actions that aren't considered a lead by example;

* Doing an intended mistake in your roleplay or an intended rule break just because everyone around you is doing the same. That's not helpful and will just put yourself in trouble. Act mature, do whatever is right without hesitating, and do not do intended mistakes just because everyone does.

* Approaching someone who lacked some knowledge in roleplay with immature attitude and comments is not helpful nor needed in this community. Your approach to this mistaken person determines if he should learn or just ignore and be stubborn.

* It's always recommended to do the right things in front of the new players and even the veterans. Leading them by being a good example in front of them.

<br>

Disregarding this guide
<br>

Important to note:

This guide is there to help those who wish to improve their roleplay and be respected members of this community. This guide is NOT considered a set of rules that you should follow. However, we recommend everyone to follow this guide to improve the roleplay quality and the experience in the community.

*Scripted Missions
**Missions depend on the online firefighters. Mission details appear in a dispatch message when one is up. The mission location will appear in a red dot on your map. Your job is to put out the fire by passing to the yellow markers in the mission. Be careful, all missions have explosions everywhere. If you die, you will respawn on the first spot or last yellow marker check.

* Basic description
** As a medic you take care of patients in Los Santos and the county that have serious injuries. This job is based on two main points; roleplay and scripted missions. Players can heal from a medic if he is inside an EMS without the need of first-aid kits. However, if the medic is on foot, then he should equip himself with fire-aid kits in order to heal other players. Healing from a medic can give you a 10% armor.<br>

*Scripted Missions
** Missions come depending on the online medics and firefighters. Once the mission comes, a dispatch message will appear and a red DOT in your map will appear for the mission location. In missions, your job is to transport patients to the hospital as soon as you can. Draw texts appear on the mission to guide you to accomplish the mission.

Criminal
<br>

* Requirements
** Decent amount of money

* Basic description
** As a criminal, you have a goal to achieve but you do so in illegal ways. Should it be collecting money and being rich, hunting for power, or whatever the style of the criminal you wish to be. You can roleplay whatever you want as a criminal in any kind of illegal way. The server offers you a few features to help you get through the trip such as Drug systems, smuggling, and robberies! There are more, but this guide will not include everything about the crime world, you have to work to figure the rest details once you get into the business. Always remember, the scripts aren't limits to your imagination! You can roleplay a lot of different things like a criminal without being tied by scripts!

*Drug System
** The drug system is pretty much simple but yet a competitive one. There are around 7-8 weed fields around the map, in order to produce drugs, you have to buy seeds from drug stores/pharmacies (Use /gps to locate a drugstore/pharmacy) and grow them at one of the weed fields using the /grow command. It takes around four minutes to grow up completely that's when you can harvest the plant using the /harvest command. We will give you two weed fields which can be a start for your business. However, if you wish to know more weed fields, you need to either figure them out yourself or ask another criminal to guide you in roleplay or out of roleplay. Here are few notes to take into consideration before you get into this business:
***Each plant takes four minutes to grow fully for the one planted it. While it takes five minutes for anyone trying to steal it.
***You can only grow one seed in the field. You may use multiple fields at the same time to grow faster.
***Watch out for cops, planting weed is illegal!
***Each one seed gives you 20 cannabis.
***You can sell cannabis to players or through the black market (see below).
**Weed Fields
***Weed fields: Paleto Bay, Red Wood Lights Track, Grapeseed, Tongva Hills, and Great Chapparal.
***There are other weed fields, you need to work your own way to figure them out either by searching or asking other criminals!

*Black Market
** You can work in the black market (NPCs) by finishing the tasks given to you from each NPC. Currently, we have two NPCs. You have to unlock the first NPC in order to unlock the second one. There are more opportunities for businesses and jobs to do once you go deeper with the black-market job.
*** The first NPC can be found at Piero Pair Beach.
*** The second NPC can be either figured out or you can ask other criminals to guide you to it.

*Smuggling
** Check Pilot Job - Smuggling Article where you can find all information about smuggling and how to do the job!

*Robbery
** Robberies are about stealing valuable items from houses, businesses, or several other places. Robberies are two types of solo robberies and dual robberies. Solo requires only one player, dual requires two players together.
** We will not give you full information about how does this system work, you will have to figure that out by completing Blackmarket tasks and unlocking the second NPC!

*General Commands
** /grow: To grow weed-seeds at the scripted weed fields.
** /harvest: To harvest weed-seeds at the scripted weed fields.

<br>

* Requirements

* Delivering Cargos
** Once you go to one of the Cargo Delivery Companies, you can find state trucks around the company garage where you can borrow one of them to start the job. Drive with the truck to the red marker at the Cargo Station where a GUI will show you the available list of goods to deliver and where to. Each cargo has a specific weight, you can take multiple delivery orders, that depends on the capacity of your truck! After loading cargos into your truck, dots in your map will appear which represents your cargo deliveries destinations. This job doesn't require any command to use, everything is done automatically once you arrive at the destination!

<br>

* Requirements
** State, owned or rented Dinghy boat.

* Basic description

Pilot Job
<br>

*Requirements:
** None

*Description
** As a Bush Pilot your job is to deliver cargos to unusual locations, we don't recommend this job for players with low flying experience. Safety is more productive than speed. The more cargos you deliver, the more skills you acquire, and the more money you earn by that.

*Skills Progression
** The following list shows which aircraft fits for the job depending on your skills progress:
#Dodo [0 - 20]
#Mammatus [20 - 50]
#Velum [50 - 120]
#Cuban800 [70 - 150]
#More to be added

*How to deliver the cargo?
#Go to the airport rentals through /gps and rent the suitable aircraft depending on the above skills progression list.
#Fill-up your aircraft (Rented aircraft/vehicles spawn with half fuel ⛽)!
#Go to the red marker (The cargo loading spot) at the airport and load up the cargo.
#Start flying to the yellow dots in your map and land safely to each dot. You must be stationary in order to deliver the cargo!
#After delivering the cargos to the three different yellow dots, fly back to the airport to the cargo's loading spot to collect your reward!

*Renting and Ownership Bonus
**Using an owned aircraft will return with 10% of the rent price as a bonus per each mission.

<br>
** Cuban800

*Description
** Smuggling is an illegal act, you have to be careful with doing this job! This job doesn't target the new players as it requires a high level of pilot skills and in "Respect" levels. You have to pick the product from random locations and deliver it to landing zones where your criminal partners should be waiting for you with a gateway vehicle.

*How to do the smuggle?
#Start with both players (Pilot with 70+ skills and passenger with Respect Level 2) in a Cuban800.
#Load Cargos from the airport loading Bay and deliver the cargos to their destinations!
#Pick up the smuggled products and deliver them to the landing zone destination.
#Make sure your partners are waiting for you at the landing zone with a gateway vehicle!

*Important Notes:
**Smuggling is illegal, so you and your passenger in the plane will be suspected automatically by the server for smuggling!
Introduction
*Requirements to own a business:
** Possession of legal Argonath RPG Passport.
** Enough money to buy the business, stock it and hire employees.
** A business for sale.

*Businesses Rules:
** You may only own ONE business of each type.

*Businesses categories:
** We have two main categories of businesses. Each category has a certain amount of subtypes. The following table elaborates more.

+ Businesses Categories
Retail Businesses !! Warehouses
Ammunition || Food warehouse
Restaurant || Drinks Warehouse
Drugs Store ||
Dealership ||

*Retail Businesses
** Those are businesses that deal with the customers directly - the players. They sell portable and useful items to the players which in return brings money to them. Retail Business owners/managers import stock from the warehouses (Factories).

*Warehouses
** Warehouses are factories that produce stocks for the retail business. They depend on producing stock and selling them to retail businesses.

Buying a business
*Most of the businesses are sold in auctions to keep it fair for everyone to take part in the challenge. So, in order to buy a business, you will need to wait for any upcoming auctions. Check the Auctions Article to learn more about this system. As we said, most of the businesses go to auctions, but not all of them. Hence, you may find a business for sale, that is what you can buy directly without any trouble.

*Instructions:
**/building - To check more information about the business type and price.
**/buybusiness - To buy the business you are standing at

Selling your business
Importante Note:
* Make sure you withdraw all the money in your /bizmoney.
Selling to a player
* Type /sellbusiness [playerid] when near your business.
** Business will be transferred to the player ID you typed in.
** Business cargos won't be deleted.
** Showroom will also be transferred if the business is a vehicle dealership.
** You will not receive the property value back.<br><br>

Normal selling
* Type /sellbusiness when near your business.
** Business cargos will be deleted.
** You will receive back the property value.

Setting up your business and stocking it
Business Name
* In order to be able to track your business through /gps you have to set a name for it. You can set whatever name you wish. However, make sure it does make sense to the business type.
* /bizname [NewName] - To set a new name for the business.
* Business name restrictions:
** Name can be up to 20 characters.

Stocking your business
* Stocking the business is done in two main steps. The first step is booking the stock from one of the warehouses/factories that are available for this business type. The second step is to deliver this stock to the business.
** Booking the Stock from one of the warehouses:
*** /buystcok - To display a GUI with all available warehouses/factories for this business type and all available items that can be stocked into the business.
** Delivering the stock
*** /bizcargos - To display a UI with all cargos that you have booked and are waiting for delivery. Pick the cargo you wish to deliver now and it will be delivered automatically for a certain amount of money.

Setting the price of your items
* After delivering the stock, the prices of all items are automatically set to zero. You have to set a price for your items in order to have the auto-selling system working.
*/pricelist: To show the price of items and the amount of the stock you have of each item in your business.
*/setprice [item] [amount]:To set a new price for an item in your business.

Managing employees
* Hiring employees is handy for your business when you go inactive for a while. Your employees can take care of the business until you come back. There are two levels of employees; manager and standard employee. Both of them will be explained below.

* Typing /hire list will show a list with all employees and their levels.<br><br>

Hiring staff
* Type /hire [player nick].
* Typing /hire list will show a list with all employees and their levels.<br><br>

Firing staff
*Typing /hire [player nick] again will fire the employee.<br><br>

Managing employees rights
* Once you hire a player into your business, it's automatically set for him as Standard Employee. You can change this by the following command. Each level has different tasks.
* Type /employeerights [player nick] [standard/manager]

Auto-Selling System
*Introduction
**Some business types have an auto-selling system that works with 1.5% of the average of the business price. The business should be stocked with the minimum amount which differs based on the price of the item you set. Instructions are given in-game when setting up your business.

*Items that are auto-sold by the server:
*Ammunition: Ammo only, not guns.
*Gas Stations: Fuels only.
*Restaurants: All.

*Setting up the auto-selling system
** After setting prices for your items, type in /pricelist. Red texts may appear if there is a problem in the quantity and/or the price of the item. The script will show you the required quantity and price which can make the auto-selling system work.

Exporting stock to other business
* This command will create a cargo at your business and has to be delivered to its destination.
* Do not use this command unless you are sure of what you are doing. Once the cargo is created you won't be able to restock it.<br><br>
* Type /exportstock [item name] [amount] [destination business name]
** Example: /exportstock pizza 50 WikiBusiness

Warehouses
* Warehouses use the same commands of the normal businesses, but not all commands. In warehouses you produce stock, the stock is stored in the warehouse until a retail business book a stock and delivers it to them automatically.
*Manager can only deposit money and produce the stock.
*Standard Employee can only access the garage if the warehouse has any.
*/producelist - To show you a list of the items that you can produce in the warehouse.
*/producestock [item] [amount] - To produce a stock of the specified item.
