Public Properties are owned and managed by the State. They can not be purchased by players. Their main purpose is to serve as headquarters for different government organizations, such as the Vice City Police Department or the Vice City Fire Department.
Private Properties are owned by players. Private Properties that are unowned can be purchased at a fixed price, and if otherwise, purchased at a player-made auction or via negotiation. Their main purpose is to serve as a storage for weapons, drugs, cash and skins.

Businesses are owned and managed by players. Businesses that are unowned can be purchased at a fixed price, and if otherwise, purchased at a player-made auction or via negotiation. Their main purpose is to generate income by selling and distributing specific goods, according to the type of business.
Businesses are dependent on stock, which can be ordered by the owner and then delivered by a worker at the Vice City Port Authority.
The generic Business does not currently have any script support and is generally used for roleplay purposes or scripted mini-mission events.

Food Businesses can be used as a healing method in case there are no paramedics around. The amount of health points regained is equal to the price of the food item.
Pay'n'Sprays are garages that are used for repairing vehicles and respraying them, should the owner desire a new vehicle colour.
Clothes Businesses sell player skins that can be identified by their ID. Once bought, they can be stored in the wardrobe of a player's Private Property or rented Hotel room, if there are any empty slots. For more details, see Skins.
Shopping Businesses sell electronics ( Phones, CB Radios and GPSes ) and packaging goods ( Briefcases and Crates ).
Weapons Businesses are businesses that commercialize firearms for self-defense ( or other heinous acts that you have in mind! ).
Tools Businesses are businesses that commercialize melee weapons.
Warehouses are an alternative to the Private Property storage function. The owner of a Warehouse can rent a warehouse slot to a tenant, after which the slot can be used by the tenant to store weapons, drugs or cash.
