Overview

Introduction

Men of Whiskey is a series of fictional stories written by JDC based on the adventures of DPD (SA:MP). The stories themselves are based on actual events in DPD and the RP career of the author in SA-MP. DPD is depicted as a group of Sheriffs within the SAPD on a quest for justice in Red County and the surrounding areas, although they carry out their work using unorthodox methods, earning the label of "semi-corrupt".

They are originally written in "logbook" form, although they are set to expand into a full short-story format. This page is currently a draft, and the full stories (along with the full pages) will be set up after a substantial amount of personnel have read them.

Recurring Characters

Supporting
  • Dr. Jonathan Kolta — A sheriff of DPD with experience as a Medical Doctor and Doctor of Law (S.J.D), graduating with honors from the Argonath National University of Science and previous experience with covert government operations. He is heavily based on the author's primary roleplay character, who is also the protagonist of most stories in Men of Whiskey.
  • Captain J. C. Stoddlesworth — A former Captain of DPD who was responsible for bringing the organization to power in Red County. One of [R*]Jcstodds' roleplay characters, also known as The Sheriff.
  • "Big Gay Al" — His real name currently unknown, Big Gay Al is a prisoner of DPD known for his homosexual adventures and muscular physique. Unlike other prisoners, Al enjoys special privileges (being treated more like a guest / lodger than a prisoner) and frequently assists the Sheriffs in their handling of prisoners, including but not limited to torture and burial of dead bodies.
  • Pedro Del Camello — An immigrant who was hired by Captain Stoddlesworth to work as one of DPD's maintenance crew, Pedro is frequently abused and mistreated by the Sheriffs, even though he is too scared to put up any meaningful resistance. His name literally translates to "Pedro of the Camel".
Antagonists
  • Director Francisco Rodriguez — The firebrand Director of the Argonath Federal Bureau of Investigation and primary antagonist of the series, nicknamed "Wanky Franky" by the Sheriffs. He is aware of certain corrupt activities undertaken by the DPD Sheriffs, although he and his Agents somehow fail every attempt to gather sufficient evidence that can indict the Sheriffs for corruption charges, in spite of their repeated success against organized crime in the region.
  • Special Agent Johann Koltsovi — An ambitious, power-hungry, and conniving FBI Agent, Johann takes every opportunity to prove himself to Director Rodriguez by trying to bust the Sheriffs. In a bitter twist of fate, however, all of his attempts fail miserably. Ironically, Johann is to the Bureau what the Sheriffs are to the SAPD. The character is based on the author's time in the SA-MP FBI.

Minor Characters

  • Russle Carrington Sforza — Jonathan's best friend who moved to San Andreas from Vice City at roughly the same time. His death sets off a chain of events that ends with Jonathan joining DPD.
  • Jenkins "Old Man Bobby" Hickenbottom — An old man who runs a small convenience store across DPD, Jenkins makes occasional cameo appearances commenting on the hopelessness and / or absurdness of the situation. He is familiar with the Sheriffs' escapades, although he does not report them.
  • Chief Lawrence Harrison — The Chief of the SAPD, Harisson is completely unaware of the Sheriffs' semi-corrupt activities. He is revered all over the SAPD, although he leaves most of the organizational work to his Captains, who run the local Police Departments in their jurisdictions.
